February 29, 2020 About Me

Thank you for taking the time to visit my About Me page!

I have to begin my story by saying I love my husband of 49 years, Larry, and the 7 children we have raised. That's right, we had a house full of kids for many years.  Now we are empty nesters. Fortunately, our youngest lives nearby so we get to see our youngest granddaughter on a regular basis.  Her 2-yr old energy certainly keeps us young and on our toes. In addition, we have 4 other grandkids who give us lots of love and joy.

Five years ago, we purchased a 32ft travel trailer and truck and  traveled across the country from Pennsylvania to Alberta, Canada, to Alaska, to Florida, and lots of places in between. It was the trip of a lifetime; we enjoyed every minute of it and have a couple thousand photos (another passion of mine is outdoor photography) so we can relive the fun every time we look at them.

My story wouldn't be complete without including my love for my Savior, Jesus Christ and his restored church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that I am a child of a God and that He loves me. All the blessings that I have come from Him.

I have enjoyed making cards for at least 15 years, but in the summer of 2016 I saw a cute card on Pinterest that showed a deer in the woods; thus began my search for the Woodland Embossing Folder. That was the first time I had ever heard of Stampin' Up!®. So, without ever attending a class, workshop, or event; without ever speaking to anyone about Stampin' Up!, I signed up (because it didn't take me long to figure out the best deal was the starter kit). I guess you could say "the rest is history".

In the almost 4 years that I have been part of Stampin' Up! I have immersed myself in stamp sets, card stock, ink pads, punches and embellishments - our travel trailer has a dedicated section just for Stampin' Up!. But I have also been immersed in a community of loving, supportive demonstrators who uplift, encourage, celebrate and inspire me. This community reaches all the way across the country, and even the globe. And it all started with a card on Pinterest.
